I’m in the same boat as you when it comes to deciding where to study abroad! I’m actually considering taking a year to backpack around the world after graduating so that I CAN visit a lot of the places I’m interested in. I’m excited to hear about where you decide to go in the end!

I agree that sampling local cuisine is a great way to experience another culture. After all, what could be more intrinsic to daily life than the food that locals have been preparing for hundreds of years?

I love being creative food, and I’ll try anything once. The weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten was strong Panamanian river fish cooked in a leaf by Embera Indians who still maintain their traditional lifestyle. It was bizarre and amazingly awesome to eat out of a leaf 🙂
